Eats & Treats: Artisanal 'PizzArt' by Fonterra's Anchor Food Professionals @ Ejohng Concept, JB

Cheese + Pizza = The perfect love story. Everyone loves pizza, right? Well, Fonterra’s Anchor Food Professionals has a unique outlook on how this beloved dish is presented by combining pizza with art. Hence, PizzArt was born! Read on to find out more about these beautiful creations.
FYI, these pizzas will forever be memorable to me cos I got lost TWICE while on the way to the event. Well, it was worth it in the end after tasting the dishes :p

This exciting campaign in partnership with 25 outlets all over Peninsula and East Malaysia was recently launched to recreate artisanal pizzas with a twist. “PizzArt” was artistically conceptualized by Anchor Food Professionals Hot Cooking Chef and features 5 new recipes in various shape, sizes and taste that is sure to excite tastebuds all over, be it for hard-core foodies or discerning gourmands. These 5 new pizzas that are anything but ordinary are aptly named Flower Pizza, Mini Muffin Pizzas, Adjaruli Khacapuri, Pizza Bombs and Pot Pie Pizzas. These pizzas are available for a limited time only (From May to mid November 2017).  Fun fact: The diverse range of pizzas can only be prepared by skilled kitchen crew and restaurant with stone or brick ovens, lending to its artisanal appeal.

A key essential ingredient in any pizza recipe is of course, the CHEESE. PizzArt’s recipe is no exception and calls for only the finest Anchor ingredients including Anchor Mozarella Shredded Cheese, Anchor Unsalted Butter, Anchor Colby Cheese, Anchor Cheddar Cheese and Mainland Edam Cheese. Since Anchor is already the leading dairy foodservices leader in Malaysia, obviously these dishes do not only look good, but tastes just as good.

For Johoreans who wish to taste these delicious pizzas, you may head on over to Ejohng Concept and Movida Terrace + Kitchen. Both locations feature different variants of PizzArt – Ejonhg Concept has the flower pizza, mini muffin pizza and adjaruli khacapuri while Movida features the pizza bombs and pot pie pizzas.

Flower Pizza | (pricing to be advised)
Isn’t this the prettiest pizza you’ve ever seen? Ok fine, all pizzas are beautiful, but have you ever seen one that is shaped like a FLOWER? The pizza ‘crust’ is basically very soft bread and is filled with delicious filling of tuna and topped with cherry tomatoes. For your information, this flower pizza needs to be pre-booked 3 days in advanced as it does require some time and skills to prepare. We girls couldn’t stop selfie-ing with this beautiful dish!

Mini Muffin Pizzas | RM9.90

These mini muffin pizzas come in three variants – tuna, chicken or beef. I only tried the chicken one, and while I’d love it more if there were more fillings, this is a bite-sized dish that you should definitely try out, especially when it’s piping hot. It's really affordable too as a set of 3 will only set you back by RM10.

Adjaruli Khacapuri | RM14.90
I was told that this is a traditional Belgian dish, which explain the name. After putting this up on my #InstaStory, I received a few enquiries from my followers about this dish as it looks sooo unique and sinful. There is a certain way to eat this; first, you burst the gorgeously cooked egg yolk in the middle of the pizza and mix it well with the ooey-gooey cheese within the ‘bread bowl’. Then, peel off a piece of bread from the sides and dip it into the mixture. Watch how cheese just stretchhesss! This is because it’s fresh from the oven and uses only the freshest ingredients. Again, this dish has to be eaten hot while the cheese is still runny in order to enjoy its maximum deliciousness. Ah, this was definitely my favourite PizzArt dish!

BONUS:

The enthusiastic chef at Ejohng Concept also created these delicious personal pan pizzas as he was inspired by the Anchor cheese. The Pan Pizza Chicken (top pic) is priced at RM15.90 while the Pan Pizza Seafood (bottom pic) costs RM19.90. They both have a little twist to the classic Hawaiian pizza as they have added Mediterranean sauce as the pizza base instead of the usual tomato sauce.

With the new launch of PizzArt, Anchor Food Professionals hopes to create a ‘new age’ of pizzas in Malaysia. If you wish to try these pizzas, you can find them at the following locations: Movida and U Pizzeria in Klang Valley, Movida and U Pizzeria in Perak, US Pizza and Lunarich in Penang, Sky Garden Resto Bar in Kedah, Movida in Melaka and Johor, Ejohng Concept in Johor, The Chubs Grill and Mad Ben CafĂ© in Sabah and Chillax CafĂ© & Bistro, Coup De Grill and Bistecca & Bistro in Sarawak. You know it’s good quality stuff when partners themselves are required to attend workshops in order to have specialized skills in developing these artisanal pizzas too!

Oh yes, to all collectors, you are able to collect these 6 designs of key chain everytime you dine in and order a PizzArt from any of the participating stores. There’s also a fun contest happening on Anchor’s Facebook page where you can win exciting prizes, so don’t forget to join and be part of the pizza-revolution!
