Food x Giveaway/ Tech-Apps: Foodpanda Delivery

I'm sure most of you have heard of FoodPanda? :) When I first heard about it, the first thing that catches my attention was the cute name! Wonder if they were inspired by the Kungfu Panda Po who eats a lot a lot. XD So yes, today I'm gonna let you know more about FoodPanda!

FoodPanda is an online food delivery portal that lets customers order food from the best restaurants and have it delivered right to their doorstep! In Malaysia, there are about 300 restaurants to choose from including popular chains like Kenny Rogers Roasters, Sakae Sushi, Tony Roma's and even local favourites like the Chicken Rice Shop or even drinks like Chatime. Does the list sound tempting already?

Fun fact: FoodPanda is also one of the three new apps launched for the Nokia WP8 devices. They mentioned that "With FoodPanda, you can order any kinds of food and have it delivered to you in the shortest time possible." Even though it's not available worldwide yet, it has done a great job in the countries that it is currently in now. You can choose to order online from or download the mobile app and just order right from your smartphone. That's what I did and here's a quick tutorial to show you how.

Download the app from the AppStore.

Key in your location to search the restaurants nearby!

Sooo many choices 0.0
Here's a little mishap that I experienced with the app. My first order was actually a dimsum restaurant. After keying in my voucher code for first time users and waiting for an hour (which is the minimum stated delivery time), my food still hasn't arrived. I called the restaurant and also received a call from FoodPanda telling me that the restaurant was actually not opened -_- WHAT. Then why didn't you update it on the app....
Sigh. So after wasting my voucher, I decided to order from 7-Eleven because I just wanted to test out the service efficiency. Hahaha lame, I know. XD

By the way, there is also a FoodPanda page for 7-Eleven and you can find it at

So many choices! You can even top up credit for your phone.

Click into the item you want and select the quantity. Who loves Koala's March biscuits as me!!!

My orders. Stock up snacks for my late nights staying up to do assignment!
Oh just realised there's a RM4 delivery fee too.. You should also try and buy to at least the minimum amount (RM10 for 7-Eleven) because they will "top up" and charge you for that even if you don't reach RM10. Then "Proceed to Checkout".

Register for an account or sign in with your existing FoodPanda account. Next, "Save and Proceed".

Key in your delivery address.

Click "I Agree" on the Terms & Conditions (because, who actually reads them..)

Key in your mobile number for order confirmation. FoodPanda customer service will call you to confirm your order! You can choose to pay online or cash on delivery. Also, key in any promotional codes you have in the "Order comments" section to get your discount.

Besides calling you, FoodPanda will send you a confirmation message too!

These are the things I ordered. All came in good condition, the yoghurt drink was still chilled! However, my order did not reach in 60 minutes as indicated, so I was a bit disappointed. Considering the traffic jam in KL, it'd have been acceptable but my food did not require any cooking ah..

I do like the idea of FoodPanda delivering food to our doorstep. It is especially convenient for students who have no time to cook or go out and eat. Saves a lot of time! However, 60 minnutes is really too long to wait so you'll have to order in advance. Also, the restaurant details like contact number and opening and closing hours should be included within the app as well. There are reviews for each restaurant too so you can read them before you decide to order anything. Not digging the idea of a minimum purchase as well but FoodPanda has free delivery for selected restaurants everyday so that's good news! The customer service personnel was also polite and even though their lines are usually busy, they will send you a text if you need help from them. So because of this, I will give FoodPanda another try and next time, I'll order solid food ok!

I will try ordering from PC the next time. Here's a quick illustration by Chee Chingy on how to order from FoodPanda! So adorbs :D

So anytime you're feeling hungry, do log on to or download the mobile app to grab some food and satisfy your hunger! Check out their Facebook page too for the latest news and updates.

Beauty: Maybelline BB 8-in1 Mousse & Color Sensational Lipsticks [PART1]

First cosmetics review post! And it's with drugstore makeup :3 I'm not afraid to admit that I love drugstore makeup. To a student, they are affordable, good-quality and varied so you can buy cosmetics for your whole face without breaking the bank! I'm not very good at makeup and I only know and own the basic ones so drugstore makeup is my solution! Although there are some items which is worth investing in more expensive brands imo.. I will be splitting the post into two parts, part 2 will be a simple makeup tutorial using drugstore makeup from Maybelline & L'Oreal!

Today I will be reviewing Maybelline Pure Mineral BB 8-in-1 Mousse and two Color Sensational Lipsticks. FYI, these were given to me by OnlyBeauty & Kim of Test and Share blog for review purposes. If you remember, I did a giveaway and a quick sale update about it here. One lipstick was a free gift for adding their sister company, Fiiesta on WeChat. Stay tuned to find out how you can get RM10 discount on your purchases from this beauty website!

Maybelline Pure Mineral 8-in-1 BB Mousse

For me, this is a really cool product cos I've used all kinds of BB creams, but never in mousse form! If I'm not mistaken, this product comes in two shades and I got mine in a lighter shade. The product boasts that makes the skin instantly smoother and contains micro minerals. It is also ultra light and has SPF 30++! I wish I knew what the 8-in1 part represents lol.

The bottle is quite lightweight, made of light steel (just like a hairspray bottle!) but a bit too big to bring out in your handbag.

Instructions were in Japanese, so I had to guess/ google how to use it.. :/ The ingredients however, were typed in English on a white sticker and stuck onto the plastic wrapping which I removed before taking this pic heh.

It comes in a pump form. However, it isn't as convenient as it looks. It's not easy to control the amount that you want due to the pump being quite stiff.

Directions for use:

It is not advisable to pump the whole thing and apply straight on your face but rather, blend it on the back of your hand before applying on your face. This is because the colour will change! Another reason is because as I said, it is hard to control the pump pressure. I tried to pump a 50 cent amount on my hand but ended up with quite a huge blob 0.0
Tip: It is advisable to use your fingers to blend instead of a sponge.

How it looks when it's straight out of the bottle. Whitish, light brown.
Sorry bout the messy table XD

Hopefully you can tell the colour difference from the photo! After leaving it on my hand for one minute, the product starts to 'melt' into my skin. It has also turned a darker shade of brown and starts to feel more like normal BB cream texture. This is the real colour of the product.

The WRONG way to apply the BB Mousse. Like I said, it's better to blend it at the back of your hand. This is the results of blending it instantly, you'll get a watery mixture of uneven colour, super hard to apply on your face :/

If you let the product sit and 'oxidise' for a while, this is the texture you'll get! A creamy texture for easier application.

My skin looks whiter yea? However, it seems like the product does get into my hand creases and emphasizes on the lines more instead of making it smoother lol. Let's see how it works on the face!
Btw, manicure done by Sydney aka @somethinkblack on Insta! Go check out her feed :)

There's not much noticeable difference which shows how light the BB Mousse feels on the skin! A small amount is enough to cover the whole face! Erm, provided it doesn't dry up..
It may not be obvious in photos, but I think my skin colour also looks more even. Even though it is lightweight, the product is quite buildable as a few layers can cover up blemishes and redness well. Unlike on my hand, it doesn't look like it fills in the fine lines gaps around the eyes, which is good! (maybe it's my hand's problem..)

 Final effect:

How it looks when I'm done. Freshly applied. One good thing about the BB Mousse is that it leaves a matte finish! No powder needed! I'm used to using the Korean kinda BB creams whereby it leaves a translucent finish so this was quite interesting to me! It's like I did not apply any makeup.
Tip: The mousse does feel sticky at first, but dries quite fast so be sure to apply on your face quickly. Otherwise, it'll leave unpleasant looking patches >.<

But will it stay that way all day? Let's put it to the test!

After 12 hours:

Ok so on that day I was at the cafeteria's student area for a bazaar that we organised. Just hanged out there, went for clas and waited until it was time to clean up the place. The cafeteria is really stuffy and it smells like oil, I SWEAR. -.- In a way, it was also a good place to test out how well the product works heh.

The coverage around my cheeks looks fine, but it becomes oily on my forehead and nose. See my shiny forehead? (ignore the pimples T.T)
Also, in the hot weather the product tends to run and smear, especially around the eye area. Ermergerd quite scary leh.. I would say it's good for people with normal skin, not oily around the T-zone one like mine.

What I think:

- super lightweight and natural looking
- no powder needed because it leaves a matte finish!
- contains SPF 30++ so no need to apply sunblock (but I still do)
- comes in a unique form
- big 65g bottle so it should be able to last quite long
- small amount needed for whole face (that is if you can control how much you pump out)
- affordable

- tedious to use, don't really like the pump
- some waiting time is required for the product to 'melt' so it's not advisable to use if you're in a hurry to do your makeup
- settles into some fine lines and feels sticky initially
- not long-lasting and not so suitable for Malaysia's weather as it tends to run and smear easily
- not suitable for dry or extra oily skin

Overall, I am okay with this product because of it's light texture, but I do not particularly fancy it. Would not repurchase because it does not really suit my skin. However, I've read great reviews about this. Guess those people are lucky they have nice skin! :( You can get the Maybelline Pure Mineral 8-in-1 BB Mousse from regular pharmacies for RM49.90! :)

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick

As I mentioned, I got two lipsticks from the sale and I was quite thrilled to try them out! After some research, I found out that the Color Sensational range actually has a few types. Some are labelled with THE JEWELS, as they are shinier and brigher!

Left: Maybelline THE JEWELS by Colorsensational and right: the regular Color Sensational.

I got #631 Red Garnet for THE JEWELS. Look at that crazy rainbow packaging, I love it! Looks even prettier than the regular one :p

Quite weird that my #105 Pink Wink looks darker from the sticker colour lol. Both lipsticks have plastic covers so be careful not to drop them cos I think they will crack easily.. It's the conventional square shape, nothing fancy or expensive looking.

Let's try them out!

Regular lip colour, only applied Vaseline to moisturise my lips and not leave stains.

Red Garnet sounds and looks intimidating as I've never had dark coloured plum lipstick before. However, this one was quite pretty and not as deep plum coloured as I thought! You can also opt to apply the plum colour in the centre only by dabbing on with your fingers to create a gradient effect. The colour also doesn't stain your lips.

Pink Wink. Again, the colour isn't what's indicated on the sticker so make sure you swatch before you buy! Lol. It's a darker pink than I expected but it's wearable daily. Even though it's not from THE JEWELS collection, the colour is still quite shiny to me.

What I think:

- Easy and smooth to apply
- Doesn't settle into fine lines, smoothen out the lips
- Quite moisturising
- Opaque colour
- Has a wide colour range, suitable for all skin tones
- Affordable

- Doesn't last long, wears off easily with eating and drinking
- Has an artificial fragrance which might cause allergy in some people

Both the lipsticks are easy to apply and glides on smoothly. It's moisturising and doesn't emphasise on the lip cracks. However, there's a strong artificial fragrance when you apply it. Have you ever played with plastic lipstick in those cosmetic toy sets when you were young? That's exactly how it smells like, which is a bit of a turn off. It's also not long-lasting as I hoped it would be.
You can get the Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick for RM29.90 in regular pharmacies :)

Sooooo remember I said something about a discount code? Well, Fiiesta is quite new and they are currently only carrying a few brands but for now, they have masks and skincare products from Juice Beauty, Bidanpo and my favourite TT Mask! The discount code to use when you purchase RM50 and above is and you are entitled to RM10 off for a single transaction :)

Sale Alert! : Charles & Keith, Victoria's Secret, Pedro & Flow Warehouse Sale!

One thing I'll miss when I graduate and go back to JB is definitely the sales in KL! There are sales almost every week on almost any product or brand that you can think of!

This month is just too awesome, with too many warehouse sales going around! Season clearance for Spring/ Summer 2014 I suppose. I'm gonna share with you about an EPIC sale by big brand names like Victoria's Secret, Flow, Pedro and... Charles & Keith!!! It's a Singapore brand and I know most girls covet their shoes and bags like me cos they are fashionable, durable and affordable! :p So when you know there's a warehouse sale of UP TO 80% by C&K, you know you have to go!

It was a very spontaneous trip to SSTwo Mall for the sale. It's my first time here btw. Actually planned to go with my girl friends the day before but we were all too tired after assignment submission so we cancelled it and went for a quick lunch at Empire Gallery instead. I was quite disappointed that we couldn't go but we went back to uni after lunch and my VUBC juniors suddenly approached me and asked if I wanted to go for the VS and C&K Sale. Of course I wanna! XD
Thank you Kwai See for letting us use your car, Vincent for driving us in "your" car and Mika for accompanying me to shop! Forgot to take pic w you guys aiya :(

Btw, please note that parking is quite limited in the mall (or maybe too many people are taking advantage of the sale). We went around 5pm and it was jammed all the way on the LDP. Arrived around 5.30pm and spent so much time looking for parking! Luckily we got one in the end near the entrance where the sale was.

We thought the queue was going to be real scary because we saw people posting photos of the huge crowd earlier in the day. I guess it was the traffic jam or something but there were not many people when we arrived. Phew! So you guys know what time to go ya... I can tell that the mall is quite empty on days when they aren't hosting any warehouse sales lol.

I attended the C&K Warehouse Sale two years ago near Sunway and it was crazily packed! Not to mention HOT and stuffy cos it was literally in a warehouse. This time's venue had air-conditioning and wasn't as crowded, thank goodness!

The "bouncers" will walk up to you when you are queuing with a plastic bag to wrap your handbags in and then tie it with a strong plastic strap thingy. I guess it's to avoid stealing? And also pick-pocketing. Win-win solution so the organisers won't lose stock and customers won't lose their belongings haha. The downside is that you won't be able to get your purse out unless you want to hold it the whole time you're shopping. We were also given black C&K recyclable bags at the entrance to put our "loots" in. How thoughtful!

The first thing I saw when I stepped inside the place. Flow belts selling for RM3 and other accessories for RM15 - RM39! Pastel-coloured C&K belts were on sale too for RM9.
PS: Sorry for the bad pics, I was too occupied in shopping to snap the pics properly. Also because there were signs saying that "Strictly no photography/ fiming allowed" and I felt quite malu after that. XD

Flow clothes. Not my style and most of them are in large sizes. I don't think the discount was very great too? Cos I randomly picked up a kimono jacket and it was about RM99 waooo~

I know everyone just wants to see the shoes! Sorry I didn't snap much pics but trust me, there are SOOOO MANY! This is not even of one/ eigth of the shoe section XD  Of course they only display one shoe so you won't have to dig for the other shoe haha. They have good new shoes in boxes, don't worry! The good thing is that the shoes are categorised according to sizes so you know where to make your way when you enter. Just look out for the signs.

You can literally find shoes of any shape, colour, style, height and pattern here! Nudes, neons, prints.. Wedges, peep-toe, flats, pumps, stilettos.. Formal shoes, boots, casual wear... You name it, they have it lol. And the best part is, the shoes are selling for as low as RM29! My eyes almost fell out when I saw the price tag. It's even cheaper than my slippers XD To find the good deals, you just gotta keep your eyes sharp but I think most of the C&K shoes are less than RM99.

A few of my favourites from the size 34 section. I was so happy cos they have shoes for petites like me! And it's super nice because there aren't many people squeezing at this area unlike the conventional sizes hehe. I thought of getting a pair of kitten heels which I don't own for formal presentations and also casual wear. So many to choose from! The staff are really friendly so don't hesitate to ask them for new pairs when you're done choosing. You can also check if they have the sizes you want even if you did not get the shoe from the designated size section. They will actually take the shoe from you and run to the other sections to check with their colleagues omg sweet or what~

C&K bags, clutches, handphone pouches and purses for RM 29 - RM149. See. some are even wrapped in the plastic!

Pedro was in the same section of the warehouse too but there were less choices as compared to C&K. I did spot some pairs that I really like but they are priced slightly higher (RM49 - RM179) and a lot of sizes have ran out! :( I would say their shoes are more comfortable though.. Oh they do sell flats and boots too. Knee-high boots were going for RM49 only! Everyone was going quite crazy and I heard a couple of girls saying that they can only see the shoes but have yet to go near them cos there's just too many people. LOL.

Guys can definitely come for the sale too! Pedro offers mens' casual and formal shoes and slippers as well. Slippers were going for RM99 and men's loafers were about RM119 and above. That's really reasonable for Pedro ok! Wanted to get a pair of shoes for my BF but he wasn't on Whatsapp so I didn't..

A few pairs (I think they're called boat shoes?) which I think were quite nice-looking and they are made of leather. RM119.

Pedro wallets which still in their boxes, about RM119. Tie and small leather goods such as card holder and belts were also going for RM29 - RM99!

Pedro bags for RM69 - RM159.

I was quite disappointed with the amount of bags initially. Then I walked out of that one section to look for VS goods when I spotted another section of the warehouse. That's where all the bags are omg! It was crazy. C&K bags were literally thrown on the tables. Quite sad for the bags lah, but happy news for bargain hunters! XD It started getting crowded around 6pm cos that's when all the working crowd knocked off work and came here to shop. There really are a lot of suitable bags and shoes for them, I would say. There are bags for everyday and shopping use too. My aim was to find a book bag to use in uni!

C&K bags going for RM29 - RM149 here. It's even cheaper than buying in Singapore airport omg~ No wonder everyone was going crazy. Mika called to ask me where I am and I asked her to come and pick a bag for me. In the end she ended up buying one too. XD
You can take your desired back to the staff and ask them if there are new ones too. Mika got a brand new bag with an attached pouch for RM79 and it was wrapped in the plastic with paper stuffing still!

Ooh, didn't know they were selling C&K iPad covers and shades too! Didn't check the prices though.

We were finally done around 7pm and made our way to the counter. We didn't have enough cash on us so I paid with debit card (yes, they accept cards!). If you can't get your purse out of the plastic binding thingy, you can get the cashiers to cut open the bag for you. If you want to make your way over to the VS section though, you would have to re-tie the plastic bag -_- The VS section is after the cashier btw.

There were limited stuff left at the VS section when we got there. We wanted to go over and say hi to Darren who was working part-time there. I guess everyone already took the good stuff the day before :( Because seriously, the perfume which are selling for RM100++ in stores are only RM51 here omg?! Btw, below pics are from Mika because my phone died -_-

Grab your pink recyclable bags before you enter.

VS panties at 70% discount! I spotted 5 for RM60 ones and 10 for RM99! Even cheaper than the usual VS sale wei~

VS bags at 60% discount! *jaw drop*

They even have boomz VS iPad covers for sale at 60% discount too.Y U No iPad Mini ones?!

I bet there were more perfume, hand cream and body lotions selection before this. You can tell by the empty shelfs.. Anyway the VS lotion and 'Body' perfume was going at RM51 only! Kwai See and Vincent snapped a bottle each and it smells quite good.

VS eyeliner and lip gloss at 60% discount which means its only about RM14!

VS lip plumper at 60% discount as well.

Mika got a VS Trio toiletries bag for RM35 only omg! Too bad it was the last one :( Wonder if they will restock tomorrow? After that we had to leave already as the sale ends at 7pm. So many things, so many people that I am getting a little confused with the figures already but I tried my best to give you the correct ones already. Maybe you can find better deals than me at the sale! Erm, I did get something but decided not to show you. See from my Instagram lah! :p
The sale ends this Sunday so hurry up and make your way over before the good stuff gets snatched up! What a great way to end March~
