Girls, I have a question for you. What do you use to apply your makeup? Do you use brushes? Or your fingers? Well, have you heard of this makeup sponge called Beauty Blender?
Beauty Blender is a very popular makeup sponge but it can be quite pricey. I got this Beauty Blender dupe from Supermodel's Secrets instead, the 3D Beauty Blending Sponge, and it works JUST AS WELL!
The 3D Beauty Blending Sponge is a very versatile make up applicator that is washable, reusable and recyclale. It can be used with all types of makeup and works well damp or dry. It promises flawless foundation application every time and you can put on makeup like a pro because your makeup will be evenly distributed and provide excellent coverage!

There are 2 shapes for this 3D Beauty Blending Sponge - hour-glass/ gourd or tear-drop shaped. Both comes in various colours and Supermodels Secrets will send a random shape and colour to you unless you specifically request and email to them :) Each sponge is approximately 2.25" x 1.5" x 1.5" (L x W x H). These sponges are recommended by top makeup gurus around the world as they help to save makeup usage and prevent wastage. They're also durable and of high quality, but only a fraction of the cost of the original Beauty Blender sponge!
I chose the gourd shaped sponge. Basically, the only difference with the tear-drop shaped one is that it has a "dent" in the centre for better grip. The sponge is hydrophilic and feels so soft and gentle on the skin! Apparently, it has incredible blending ability, highly breathable and the colour will not fade even after many washes.
Grab your favourite foundation or BB cream and put the sponge to use. I'm using my current fave (and first ever) foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. Super love the peach smell! You can even use the sponge for liquid or even powder foundation, blushers, concealer, eyeshadow and many more. Wow! Talk about multi-purpose. Just make sure you clean the sponge properly after each use/ make-up product!
The sponges are also suitable for all skin types and all ages. For problem skin, this can help to cover blemishes and open pores and leaves a perfect finish. For dry or sensitive skin, it is best to use a damp sponge. You'll get different effects by using a damp or dry sponge but I personally find that the makeup lasts longer with a damp sponge.
Start with your bare face. Skin looks quite good here, quite happy! :D
Squeeze some foudation on the back of your hand and dab the sponge gently to get the product on the sponge.
The tip of the puff is suitable for the wing of your nose and undereyes. Pat gently especially under the eyes as the skin there is more sensitive. I love that its sharp enough to get into the hard-to-reach places, especially the sides of my nose!
I may not be so good at explaining, so see what the founder Michelle has to say about her demo on this sponge!
To ensure the sponge lasts longer, do wash it frequently after use for daily wear. Wash it with a mild cleanser and let it air dry. It's that simple! Sponges get contaminated by bacteria more easily than brushes so make sure you keep it in a clean place and that it dries fully.
I love how smooth my makeup looks here! The foundation goes on much easily and evenly, and there is less wastage than using your fingers, which can be unhygienic too. I'm also obsessed with how soft the sponge feels on my skin! It isn't rough at all and another plus point is it's so easy to use, anyone can do it! Be it for professional or home use, the 3D Beauty Blending Sponge is of the latest fashion technology and is the best makeup tool you'll need to make your life easier!
