Beauty: Kitsui White Berries Botanical Beverage Mix

As we grow older, it's important to take care of our skin from the inside out. I've recently added a beauty drink cum health supplement to my daily regime. It is Kitsui White Berries Botanical Beverage Mix (no added sugar range) that is manufactured based on the latest Korean Enriched Formula. There are 5 variants in this drink series and I received the White Berries flavoured ones which is said to help give brighter and fairer skin. Read on to find out more about the benefits of this product!

Kitsui Beauty White Berries Botanical Beverage Mix is enriched with Monk Fruit extract which is known as an "immortal food" to many. The extract is 150 - 250 times sweeter than table sugar, is rich in Vitamin C, has zero calories and carbs, which is why this drink is highly recommended for those who are trying to monitor their calories and carbs intake. Monk fruit also helps to reduce acne, redness, dryness and restores skin to its youthful lustre due to its anti-aging properties. Some other benefits include colon cleansing, cough relief, liver detoxing, energy boosting and weight loss for those who are trying to practice a healthier lifestyle. By the way, this product is suitable for those with seafood allergies 👌

This White Berries drink contains acai berries which is a supposedly great for skin lightening and balancing. It also contains beet root, a superfood for your face and daily diet as it is 60x stronger than vitamin C. Alpha Lipoic Acid, a type of primary anti-oxidant, helps to prevent aging, acne and skin inflammation. Vitamin C is also added for brighter and more luminous complexion while monk fruit helps to minimise pore size and boost the skin immune system. This product is supposedly great for people with oily skin.

The product comes in a pretty pastel pink packaging with a resealable ziplock. There are 20 sachets or pouches in a pack (5g each), and it is recommended to consume this drink once daily, preferably before breakfast or bedtime for best results. The sachets are packed individually which makes them easy to bring around when traveling!

The powder inside is in a light pink hue, similar to the packaging. My first impression is that there really isn't a scent to it but for some reason (probably because it's made of berries, I have a feeling that the drink will taste sourish.

To drink, all you have to do is mix one packet with 100ml of lukewarm water. Mix or shake well in the shaker given and drink immediately. It is best to drink sufficient water throughout the day for best results.

Like I said, I expected the drink to taste sour but guess what! Because it has no added sugar, there really isn't a strong taste at all. Only a subtle, sweet aftertaste is left on the tongue once you drink it. Since the taste is so light, I believe there'll be no problem adding the sachet to your other drinks (such as coffee perhaps?) to replace sugar. Just a suggestion!

I've been drinking the Kitsui White Berries Botanical Beverage Mix for about a week now and while the direct benefits promises smoother, fairer, healthier and more even skin tone, I personally don't really see it as I'm already quite fair to begin with. It also promises to reduce acne breakouts and reduce pore size within 24 hours, which to be honest, I find too good to be true as I believe that for any products you consume, it does take time for it to show effect. However, I do feel that my skin looks less dull now so I will continue to consume the whole packet. For the retail price of this product at RM48.80, I find it very reasonable compared to buying expensive collagen drinks, so I'm really hoping it gives more obvious effects to my skin! *fingers crossed*
