Carinn x OOTD: Happy Stylin' feat. Happy Socks

My first #carinnxootd post of the year! Let's do something different; 3 outfits in 1 post. I'm not sure about you, but I really love socks. I own so many pairs of cute/ fun/ silly socks and occasionally wear them to bed or pair it with my favourite pair of boots. Socks are great, you don't restrict them to only one outfit; they are versatile and can amp up any look in an instant. Here's how I styled my 3 pairs of adorable socks from Happy Socks!

Look 1 - Polka Dot Socks

Shirt dress - Hi-Style // Bag - Vincci // Polka Dot Socks - Happy Socks (here) // Shades - Padini // Necklace - Kaleidoscope

This is a relatively simple yet hipster look. I find myself gravitating towards monochromatic "lazy" pieces lately with not much colour or shape. I basically threw on a simple asymmetrical straight-cut shirt-dress and paired it as an all-black ensemble. The oversized necklace added a touch of colour to an otherwise plain look and made it look less like a pyjama (lol). I decided to wear my first pair of Happy Socks with my fave loafers to give the look a bit more texture. Polka dots are not only cute, they are perceived as somewhat feminine and fun too, which is why it made this outfit go from casual to stylish in an instant without deviating from the all-black purpose. Plus, the socks and shirt-dress are really comfortable too!

Look 2 - Athletic Striped Socks

Jersey top - Jonker Gallery // Shorts - H&M // Backpack - Jonker Gallery // Socks - Athletic Stripe Socks (here) // Shoes - Converse

Let's bring some colour to the table. For my one-day Christmas trip to Kukup, I thought what better time would it be to have something red in my outfit? Thankfully, Happy Socks are made with a high percentage of combed cotton so it kept me cool and comfortable, even in the scorching sun that day. These pair of striped socks are from the Athletic collection so they have a higher cut, but I scrunched it down a little for more texture. Didn't expect it to go so well with a jersey top and my trusty Converse for a sporty look! Did I mention that these socks are unisex and fit almost everyone too, so yes, even guys can pull them off!

Look 3 - Black Pink Cat Socks

Crop top - Sense in Mind // Pleather skirt - Love Bonito // Bag - Kate Spade New York // Black Pink Cat Socks - Happy Socks // Boots - Happy2u

Decided to go with something edgy for the 3rd look to demonstrate just how versatile socks are, yes, even with edgy pieces. I even paired these cute cat colourful cat socks with this black & burgundy look to step out of my comfort zone a little. Love the little cats peeking out from the top of my boots while the rest of the look was more daring and cool, what with dark lips & a smokey eye makeup.
