Beauty: Maybelline Hypersharp Liner - Laser Precision

My absolute makeup essentials are BB cream, eyebrow pencil and eyeliner. In fact, eyeliner was my very first step towards learning how to put on makeup. I'm contented with my *ahem* quite big eyes, but still, I love to draw a quick cat-eye/ winged eyeliner before I go out as I find that it defines my eyes better. That's why it's so important for me to have a long-lasting, sharp and easy to use eyeliner!

I've been using liquid eyeliner ever since I found out how quick and sharp the lines are, but it's sooo hard to get a good liquid eyeliner that doesn't smudge and does the job well! I discovered Maybelliner Hypersharp Liner last year at the OnlyBeauty Sale, and I've never looked back since then. I love it for the precision, the colour and the staying power. Not to mention, the price is super pocket friendly!

I was so excited when the new Maybelliner Hypersharp Liner - Laser Precision was launched. With it's new and improved formula and 0.01mm tip, it's even better than the previous ones! I was going to purchase it as my current one was finishing but I am thankful to be contacted to try this out before I even bought it. Thank you!

From the No. 1 eyeliner brand in Malaysia, Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision allows you to have better control and sharper precision when you line your eyes. The simple pen type liner is super lightweight and easy to hold, so you can draw your eyeliner with ease. One difference I noticed in packaing between the Laser Precision liner and the old Hypersharp Liner is the price (duh, the old one costs half of this one only) and this one has a huge "X" design on it. So don't be blur and make the mistake of buying the wrong one, cos I almost did! The Maybelline Hypersharp Liner was designed for people of different lifestyles, so you can draw your eyeliner anyway you want to match your lifestyles, and not worry about its staying power as it lasts all day!

There are 3 colours to choose from - Black, Brown and Soft Black. I got the one in brown, the one with the orange cap.

Look at that sharp and thin brush tip! A first in Malaysia, this 0.01mm ultra-fine tip offers laser sharp precision, and allows you to fill in even the smallest gap between your eyelashes for a more even finish.

I love how easy it is to draw with this eyeliner! I usually prefer finer lines, it's like I'm wearing eyeliner, but not. Hehe. The colour payoff is also good and intense, but not too "in-your-face" as it's a brown liner.

This eyeliner claims that it is smudge-proof thanks to a special polymer coating inspired by mascara. Mind you, Maybelline has some of the best mascaras too so I'm quite confident that it will stay.. The Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision is smudge-proof, humidity-proof (perfect for our weather!), sweat-proof and lasts up to 24 hours!

Let's put it to the test, shall we?

Passed the waterproof test, it doesn't budge at all under running tap water.

For the smudge-test, you can see that it did smudge and flake a little at the last "n" of my name. but otherwise, it stays on quite well.

Now for the removal test, seeing as it passed the previous two. Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision is also easy to remove. Just one swipe with my Maybelline Eye Make-up Remover, it comes of quickly and cleanly! With fuss-free and easy removal, it's the best eyeliner for trendy girls on the go!

I usually like to wing out my eyeliner at the sides before filling in the centre and inner corners of my eye. How do you draw yours? :)

Love how easy, precise and smooth the eyeliner feels when I draw it on! Brown eyeliner is perfect for a subtle day look as it looks more natural. I only drew this once, you can go over a few times if you like for a darker finish.

My first time doing eyeliner 'art' ok don't judge. Love how precise and sharp the lines are! I'm sure this design would look better with black liner though.

Before going out for the day. On this day, I had a coffee date, got some shopping done, dropped by the seaside for awhile and attended a food review. What a long day! Wonder if my eyeliner will last the whole day?

Tadaa! I'm not even kidding when I say this eyeliner rocks because it truly lasted the whole day! Mind you, it was a really hot day, especially by the seaside. I was sweating non-stop and I don't usually sweat! Usually my eyeliner leaves me looking like a panda at the end of the day, but with this new formula, the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision did not budge, even if I rubbed my eyes. I honestly think this is a way better and improved version of the previous Hypersharp liner. This is my holy grail eyeliner now!

Define your true self and express your personality with the new Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision. How do you like to draw your eyeliner and what's your style like? Share with me, cos I'd love to know, and learn new methods of drawing eyeliner! Hehs.

You can purchase the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Laser Precision for RM 35.90 in all participating pharmacies nationwide. Don't forget to show off your #eyeam and #drawyourtrueself looks on Instagram!

  2. I have used the first generation Hypersharp, it was a disappointment. Now still feel the skepticism to give the new generation a try. Hmm

    1. Hi Serah! I honestly think this is better than the first gen one. It doesn't budge all day, or maybe cos it's brown? Haha. Can't wait to try the black one XD

  3. The tip does look hyper sharp and full of precision, but too bad the color doesn't seem intense enough. Nice review anyway :)
