[Guest Post] Why You Don't Have to Look Like a Model to Be Gorgeous

Fashion Friday is back! This week, I have another guest post for you, lovingly curated by Gabriella. If you have not read her previous guest post on my blog, you HAVE to! All her posts always contain useful and inspiring materials which I'm sure will be helpful to most of you girls!

In this post, Gabriella talks about the different kind of clothes, hair, makeup and skincare tips for all body shapes, hair type and face shape. This post was written so that even a petite girl like me can be confident and look like a model! Well, maybe not really but you get the point. It's a good read, so make sure you read it!

You do not need professional make up and expensive clothes to be beautiful and enchanting. Without tons of make-up, you can be gorgeous. You don’t think it is possible? It is more than possible. If you are interested in this, continue reading. I promise you will love what I have to say.

Body Type
In order for a piece of clothing to suit you perfectly, it should appropriate to your body type. There are five basic body types. If you have an inverted triangle-shaped body, wear a dress with tight waist or pants in bright colours. A pear-shaped body type is opposite to the previous one. So, embellish your upper part of the body as much as you can and wear dark colours for the bottom part. When it comes to rectangle-shaped body types, the most important thing is to accentuate your waist as much as you can. On the other hand, apple-shaped women should wear a V-neckline in order to elongate the upper part of the body. If you have an hourglass-shaped body, lucky you! Any colour and piece of clothes suit you to a T.

Hair Tips
Another tip is to make your hair beautiful and shining. It all depends on the hair type. If you have oily hair, use shampoos for oily hair. The good thing is you may not even need to apply a conditioner. For styling it, avoid heavy creams and oils. If you have fine hair, the advice is to use shampoos for dry hair and to sparingly use a conditioner. Dry hair is in a desperate need of shine. Use shampoos especially made for dry hair and apply a lot of conditioner. For thick hair, the recommendation is to use hair products that nourish your hair. Curly hair damages easily, so the best option is to opt for products for damaged hair. The best recommendation for women with thinning hair is using volumizing products. Maybe you want to think about getting yourself a little better hair styler. For me personally, Cloud Nine is the one I like the most since their hairstylers has temperature control and my hair is really damaged.

Make-up based on the Shape of your Face
Another thing I want to mention is the choice of the make-up based on the shape of your face. If you have a square face, the advice is to contour the corners of your face and draw the attention to your lips. Round face shaped women should contour temples, cheekbones and the sides of the jaws and visually elongate their face with a blush. For a heart-shaped face, the recommendation is to apply darker shade of foundation under your cheekbones and accentuate the beautiful high-cheekbones you have with a blush. Those women with an oval face can stick to normal foundation and accentuate their best features.

Skin Care
It is important to know your skin type in order to be able to use appropriate skin products. No matter what your skin type is, there are some recommendations in order for your skin to be beautiful even without make-up. Use a sunscreen. Drink great amounts of water. Use products which moisturize and nourish your skin. Exfoliate it once a week.

I hope I convinced you that you can look stunning without great amount of work. We all have something special inside us which makes us uniquely beautiful. All we need to do is to accentuate it a bit. And do not forget: you don't have to look like a model to be gorgeous!
